Level 3 - Emergency first aid at work +F
This one-day, woodland-based course is aimed at those who work in any outdoor land-based industry but is primarily tailored for those in the arboricultural and forestry sectors. It will provide you with the basic Level 3 emergency first aid at work content as well as additional “+F” topics such as catastrophic bleeds, crush injuries and extremes of hot and cold.
Candidates can expect to work through an industry-relevant scenario, including some of the difficulties more specific to outdoor work, such as long duration casualty management, remote locations, contacting and guiding in the emergency services, basic navigational skills, selecting suitable helicopter landing sites and improvised casualty extraction across difficult terrain.
The course has been developed by and is delivered by an experienced arborist, first-aid instructor and former Royal Marines Commando. It brings operational military experience across to those working in higher-risk, land-based industries.
